The wind was close enough on the bow that we had to motor-sail.
The Gulfstream is a river of current that runs north in the Atlantic Ocean.
It is forty to fifty miles wide. Its current can reach more than three knots.
Wind direction and speed play a serious role in terms of wave action in the Gulfstream.
This part of the world can get quite rough in the wrong weather conditions.
So everything aboard Shibumi is tied-down tight.
