Ft. Lauderdale Has Been Fun But We are Ready to Move On
When I reset the minutes on my cell phone earlier this week I realized that Shibumi was berthed in the same spot last month when my cell minutes changed over... We have been here longer than one month. We have been so occupied with various pursuits that we didn't notice the time slipping away.

Mar 06: Breakfast at the Bahia Cabana: Shopping at Sawgrass Mall; Visit to Internet Cafe; Scouted out the boatyard that Shibumi will be hauled out of the water for depth sounder and speend sensor fittings; Cleaned the bottom of the Porta-Bote; Sailing vessels Karaya and Superstar departed for the Bahamas

Mar 12: Myles Whitt worked on autopilot; Dinner with Geoff and Ann at Sangaela's dock.
Mar 13: Cleaned bilges - disconnected the shower bilge box that Pete had contructed; Lunch along the New River; IMAX Movie: Intl Space Station
Mar 14: Re-arranged cockpit lazarrettes; Met Stanley Williams a Brother from St. Lucia. We talked boats and about his travels aboard sailboats that he has delivered for people as captain... his life in St. Lucia as a Rassdafarian in the mountains and his coming trip to BVI with Jeff and Carolee aboard Contessa.... He is to paint Shibumi's deck when he gets back...
Mar 17: Steve Silverman helped me replace stanchion; Boris did the carpentry work above refridgerator unit to help us reach the stanchion; Dinner at Aruba with Jeff, Carolee and Stanley; Late night discussion at pool: Terry, Cliff, John and others. Started with the movie "Passion of the Christ" and moved to politics.
Mar 19: Styxx Concert at Gulfsteam Park with Carolee, Jeff, Stanley, Jill and Harry. Bet on races conducted at Santa Anita. Didn't win a thing. Carolee won $8.40.
Mar 21: First day of the spring season. We all help move the sailing vessel Vixen.
Mar 24: Stanley Williams' mother passed away this morning in London
Mar 28: Carolee and Jeff from Contessa cook ribs on the poolside grill for everyone.
